  • One Book Sakura Medal Project (Christine, Brad)
    • Description: Have PK-12 students read Sakura Medal award-winning books (6 books) so that it can be played back in a digital format for the community to hear.
    • Goals:
      • Build ties across curriculum, disciplines, and grade-levels at YIS and the community
      • Promote Sakura Medal Program
      • Promote literacy in English and Japanese
    • Needs:
      • Support from Library, Elementary ICT Facilitator, Curriculum Coordinators
      • MP3 Players
  • Question: When are the Deliberators meeting to discuss the 2009-10 Tech Plan? Maybe this should be first presented to the HODs. When's the next scheduled HODs meeting?

  • Elementary iBook implementation improvement proposal:
    • Change homeroom names to generic scheme of A,B & C ending eg: 2A, 2B, 2C
    • Auto distribute 4 iBooks for every homeroom teacher
    • Benefits to this plan
      • would have computers ready to use for elementary on 1st day of school
      • easy to manage from an inventory stand point
      • less stress for elementary ICT & PreK-12 ICT position at the beginning of the year
  • Update: Gaming document is sharing on google docs all of you should have an invite to it
  • Update: Learning Hub is online and being hosted by edublogs
    • What's next: all of MS Student accounts have been created, student learn how to export - import
